Philippine driver's license test process

The following is the general process of obtaining a driver's license in the Philippines:

Obtain a study permit (Student Permit): First, you need to go to the local Land Transportation Office (LTO) to apply for a study permit. You will need to submit identity documents, medical certificates and corresponding application forms and pay the relevant fees.

Learn to drive: Once you have your learner's permit, you can start learning to drive. You can choose to study on your own or take a training course at a driving school. During your studies, you will be accompanied by someone with a valid driver's license who will act as your instructor.

Make an appointment for the subject 1 exam: After you are fully prepared, you can make an appointment for the subject 1 exam with LTO. Subject one mainly involves a test of theoretical knowledge of road rules and signs.

Subject 1 Exam: Go to the LTO Examination Center to take the Subject 1 Exam on the agreed date and time. If you pass the test, you will be issued a provisional driver's permit.

Learn and practice driving skills: After passing the subject one test, you need to further study and practice driving skills. You need to complete a certain number of driving hours, which includes city driving and highway driving.

Make an appointment for subject 2 and subject 3 exams: After you have fully prepared, you can make an appointment with LTO for subject 2 and subject 3 exams. Subject two is a practical test on vehicle control and driving skills, while subject three is a practical test on road driving skills.

Subject 2 and subject 3 exams: Go to the LTO test center to take the subject 2 and subject 3 exams on the agreed date and time. If you pass both tests, you will be issued an official Philippine driver's license.

Please note that the specific procedures for obtaining a driver's license may vary from region to region. It is recommended that you consult the local Land and Transportation Administration or related agencies to obtain the latest and accurate information before actually applying.
